How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Overall Earnings £43,500
    Basic Salary £37,500
    Bonus £6,000
    Excellent Benefits Package 
    * A hybrid working role with the option of two days a week from home and three in the office *

    **Hours are 37.5 per week, Monday – Friday**

    The Role – Technical Support Engineer, Medical Pathology Analysers

    This market leader seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Technical Support Engineer, responsible for:

    Providing technical support and first line technical fixes via telephone and by using connectivity tools
    Supporting customers with technical issues on a range of medical diagnostic analysers
    Guiding users through troubleshooting via phone and video calls
    Escalating unresolved technical issues to the Field Service Engineering team
    Your Background – Technical Support Engineer, Medical Pathology Analysers

    To succeed in this exciting role, you must be able to demonstrate: 

    A competent background in a service engineering capacity gained within any high value capital equipment environment
    Applications are encouraged from engineers with a broad range of backgrounds, including laboratory device, medical device, pharmaceutical device, ex forces engineers (medical & dental, weapons systems, radar) and a wide range of other electronic or electro-mechanical from other sectors
    A qualification in engineering, electronics or a science based subject to a minimum of ONC level
    Applicants are welcome from field service engineers from a broad base of sectors, as full and comprehensive product training will be provided
