How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Work closely with manufacturing teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.

    * Manage maintenance documentation and ensure compliance with engineering standards.

    * Identify opportunities to improve asset life, machine utilisation and operational efficiency.

    * Coordinate with external service providers where specialist support is required.

    * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the production environment.

    * Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.

    What We're Looking For

    * Proven experience maintaining CNC machine tools within a manufacturing environment.

    * Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capabilities.

    * Knowledge of servo systems, PLC-controlled equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics.

    * Experience working with multi-axis machining centres.

    * Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas or similar CNC control platforms.

    * Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.

    * Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems.

    * A structured approach to problem solving and equipment reliability.

    * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and engineering teams.

    Qualifications

    * Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.

    * HNC/HND or further technical qualifications would be advantageous.

    * Relevant electrical qualifications desirable.

    Why Apply?

    * Modern precision manufacturing environment.

    * Significant investment in machinery and engineering capability.

    * Opportunity to influence reliability and maintenance strategy.

    * Career progression into senior engineering, reliability or maintenance leadership positions.

    * Stable day-shift pattern with a strong focus on engineering excellence.
