How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mechanical Mobile Engineer

    About the Role

    Our Client is seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Mobile Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong mechanical maintenance experience to work across a varied portfolio of commercial buildings. You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, servicing, and repairs on a range of mechanical building services systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment.

    • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely.

    • Service and maintain pumps, pressurisation units, and other mechanical building services equipment.

    • Complete routine inspections, maintenance reports, and certification documentation.

    • Ensure all site logbooks and records are accurately completed and maintained.

    • Work to planned maintenance schedules while responding to reactive breakdowns.

    • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and risk assessments.

    • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, tenants, and site contacts.

    • Deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service at all times.

    Requirements

    Essential

    • Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Building Services Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer within commercial buildings.

    • Relevant mechanical qualifications and certifications.

    • Experience working on mechanical M&E systems.

    • Knowledge of pumps, pressurisation units, and associated plant equipment.

    • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

    • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

    • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

    Desirable

    • Experience within facilities management or building services environments.

    • Multi-skilled maintenance experience.

    • Knowledge of compliance and safe systems of work within commercial buildings.
