How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Field Manager – London

    Moving people. Shaping the future. At Otis, we take pride in leading the industry we founded. There’s never been a better time to join our team and are currently looking for a Field Manager to join the business.

    Reporting to the Operations Manager, and working alongside the Project Managers, you, the Field Manager will be responsible for preparation and execution of the site element of the project, on one or more sites.

    Daily Responsbilities:

    * Managing the field engineering team and people on site ensuring that quality and safety standards are not compromised.

    * Work with the Project and Construction Managers to ensure that the site execution plans, methods and tooling, are fully developed and all resources are allocated to achieve the project deliverables.

    * Ensure the 3 key absolutes of Safety, Ethics and Financial Control are maintained at all time.

    * Managing projects on time, within budget and in accordance with the contract scope

    * Regularly monitor and review progress against plan (both financial and project) and if necessary take action to mitigate delays and claims and bring the programme back on track.

    Skills/Experience Required:

    * Strong experience of working as an Escalator Engineer, Field Manager or Construction manager

    * Experience in the Lift Industry or Construction industry

    * Experience managing teams of engineers

    * Good planning, problem solving and communication skills

    * An understanding of the importance of delivering excellent customer service

    * Flexibility to work day or night shifts depending on workload/requirements
