How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Your new company

Our client is a leading global legal business seeking to expand its Catastrophic Loss team in Manchester. The firm is well recognised for delivering high-quality legal and claims solutions across insurance and complex litigation, with a strong reputation for handling high-value, technically challenging work. You'll be joining a collaborative and inclusive environment that supports career development and progression.

This is a retrain role for those with strong multi-track personal injury experience and strong academics. Applications are welcomed from claimant and defendant solicitors or chartered legal executives.

    Your new role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified Solicitor or junior Solicitor to join a specialist catastrophic injury team. You will manage your own caseload of multi-track personal injury claims while also assisting on high-value, complex catastrophic loss matters, including brain injury, spinal injury, and fatal accident claims.

The role offers exposure to high-quality defendant work, primarily acting for insurers and large corporates, with strong supervision and development support.

    Key Responsibilities:

Managing a caseload of multi-track personal injury claims (EL/PL and/or RTA)
Assisting senior lawyers on complex, high-value catastrophic injury cases
Advising clients on liability, quantum, and case strategy
Drafting legal documents, witness statements, and court pleadings
Preparing cases for trial and attending hearings where appropriate
Engaging in settlement negotiations and ADR processes
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Staying up to date with legal developments within catastrophic injury and insurance law

    What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (NQ+)
Strong multi-track personal injury experience (defendant experience preferred, but claimant backgrounds will be considered)
Experience of handling or assisting on EL/PL and/or RTA matters
Solid understanding of liability and quantum
    Strong analytical and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills and client-facing ability
Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to case management
    Strong academic background

    What you'll get in return

Competitive salary and benefits package, including a strong bonus structure
    High level of home working
Access to high-quality catastrophic injury work
    Clear progression and development opportunities
    Supportive and collaborative team environment
    гибrid working model with flexibility
