How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Start a Rewarding Career Supporting Children with Additional Needs

    Are you looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference every day? Do you have a passion for supporting children and helping them reach their potential?

    Axcis Education is working with a welcoming primary school near Bath that is seeking a Trainee SEN Support Worker to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, support workers or anyone looking to build a career in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

    The school supports primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Staff work closely together to create a positive, nurturing environment where every child feels supported and valued.

    The Role:

    As a Trainee SEN Support Worker, you will work alongside experienced teachers and SEND professionals to support pupils both in the classroom and during wider school activities.

    Your responsibilities may include:

    * Supporting pupils with MLD, ASD and ADHD to access learning

    * Delivering one-to-one and small-group interventions

    * Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills

    * Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

    * Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs

    * Encouraging engagement and participation throughout the school day

    * Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families

    * Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources

    Every day is different, and you'll play a key role in helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve success.

    About the School:

    This friendly and supportive primary school prides itself on its inclusive approach and strong community feel. Staff are passionate about helping every child thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

    The leadership team is committed to staff development and wellbeing, making this an excellent environment for anyone looking to gain valuable SEND experience and develop their career within education.

    Who We're Looking For:

    Previous school experience is welcomed but not essential. The school is primarily looking for individuals with the right attitude and a genuine desire to support children with additional needs.

    We would love to hear from you if you are:

    * Patient, caring and empathetic

    * Passionate about working with children

    * Interested in SEND, education, psychology or child development

    * A strong communicator and team player

    * Resilient, proactive and eager to learn

    * Looking for a long-term role with progression opportunities

    A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential due to the school's rural location.

    Why Apply?

    * Full-time, long-term position

    * Valuable experience supporting children with MLD, ASD and ADHD

    * Ongoing training and professional development

    * Supportive and experienced school team

    * Excellent experience for aspiring teachers, psychologists, therapists and SEND professionals
