Are you a football coach, cricket coach, PE graduate, sports coach, youth worker, recent graduate, or someone who enjoys working with young people?
Do you have the energy, confidence, and leadership skills to motivate others and help them succeed?
TeacherActive is working with schools across Pembrokeshire and is looking for enthusiastic Sports-Minded Teaching Assistants to support pupils in both Primary and Secondary settings.
Whether your experience comes from coaching football on weekends, leading cricket training sessions, supporting youth teams, running holiday camps, or working in community sport, this is a fantastic opportunity to transfer those skills into the classroom and make a real difference to young people's education and wellbeing.
The Role
As a Sports-Minded Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils in the classroom and around the school environment
Encourage participation, engagement, and positive behaviour
Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and communication skills
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Support learning activities alongside teachers
Act as a positive role model for young people
We're Looking For
Experience working with children or young people through sports coaching, football clubs, cricket clubs, schools, youth groups, community projects, or similar settings
A positive, energetic, and proactive attitude
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for supporting young people
The ability to motivate and inspire others
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
