How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    If you're a children's nurse who enjoys building meaningful relationships with families and making a lasting impact, this Paediatric Clinical Lead role offers the opportunity to lead highly complex care packages while retaining clinical autonomy within a supportive, nurse-led organisation.

    This opportunity would suit an experienced Children's Nurse, Community Children's Nurse, Paediatric Nurse Case Manager, Senior Paediatric Nurse or clinician with recent experience supporting children with highly complex healthcare needs who is looking to step into a leadership role.

    As a Paediatric Clinical Lead, you'll oversee a well-structured caseload of complex care packages across Hampshire, all located within approximately one hour of Southampton. You'll help children with highly complex healthcare needs remain safely at home while supporting families through some of the most challenging periods of their lives. You'll also have the opportunity to shape service development and be supported by an experienced clinical and operational leadership team.

    About the Company
    This nurse-led complex care provider has more than 10 years' experience delivering specialist community services to children and adults with complex healthcare needs. Known for its strong clinical governance and supportive culture, the organisation continues to invest in its people and services while maintaining a family-oriented and values-led approach, making it an excellent environment for a Paediatric Clinical Lead to develop and progress.

    The service supports children and young people with highly complex clinical needs, including tracheostomy care, ventilation management, enteral feeding, epilepsy management, neurological conditions and complex physical disabilities.

    Key Responsibilities
    • As a Paediatric Clinical Lead, manage a caseload of paediatric complex care clients and oversee the safe delivery of highly complex care packages.
    • Complete clinical assessments and support the mobilisation of new care packages and transitions home.
    • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, clinical documentation and competency assessments for care staff.
    • Work closely with families, commissioners and multidisciplinary teams while supporting quality improvement initiatives and service development projects.

    About You
    • Active and unrestricted NMC registration.
    • Essential experience caring for children with highly complex healthcare needs, including exposure to tracheostomy care, ventilation management, BiPAP, CPAP, enteral feeding or similar interventions.
    • Paediatric complex care experience is desirable and community healthcare experience is desirable but not essential.
    • Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
