How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Contract Full Stack / Backend Engineer III - Trust & Safety Platforms

    Duration: 6-Month Contract (with potential for extension)
    Location: 100% Remote (UK-based)

    We are looking for a Senior Full Stack / Backend Engineer (Level III) to join the Trust & Safety / Policy Platform team for one of the world's leading, household-name audio streaming platforms.

    If you are a backend-heavy engineer who enjoys the autonomy of building robust APIs and crafting the internal web tools that power them, this contract is for you.

    What You'll Do

    Engineers at Scale: Build and scale the core APIs and services that expose complex policy logic across detection, enforcement, and compliance surfaces.
    Data & ML Pipelines: Model data for strict auditability, versioning, and efficient querying, feeding structured datasets directly into downstream machine learning models.
    Empower Internal Teams: Design and implement intuitive, responsive web interfaces that allow non-technical stakeholders (Legal, Operations, Trust & Safety) to author and manage content policies with robust approval workflows.
    Ensure Compliance: Translate global regulatory requirements into airtight engineering constraints and audit trails.

    What You'll Bring

    This is a true full-stack role with a 70% Backend / 30% Frontend split. We need someone who is equally comfortable thinking about schema evolution as they are about frontend state management.

    Backend Mastery: Strong production experience building high-scale services using Java, Kotlin, or Go.
    Modern Frontend Skills: Hands-on experience building clean, intuitive internal tooling using React and TypeScript.
    System Design & Integrity: Deep understanding of API design, backward compatibility, and data modeling for complex, versioned systems where stability is critical.
    Data Savvy: Experience working with data pipelines and a solid grasp of the trade-offs between real-time and batch processing.
