How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ASSISTANT SITE MANAGER
    Dundee, Scotland

    Are you an ambitious construction professional looking to take the next step in your site management career? We are recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to join a leading national housebuilder on a high-quality residential development in Dundee.

    This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced Site Manager, gaining exposure to all aspects of site operations while contributing to the successful delivery of new homes built to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

    The Role:

    As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy housing development, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to programme.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Assisting with the management and coordination of subcontractors and trades on site.
    Monitoring health and safety standards and ensuring compliance with company procedures and legislation.
    Supporting quality inspections and ensuring homes are delivered to a high standard.
    Helping to manage site programmes, labour resources, and material deliveries.
    Conducting site inductions and toolbox talks.
    Assisting with site records, reporting, and documentation.
    Working closely with technical, commercial, and customer care teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
    Supporting the Site Manager in achieving build targets and customer satisfaction objectives.
    About You
    We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about residential construction and eager to develop their career within a successful housebuilding environment.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Previous experience in a supervisory, assistant site management, or site coordination role within construction.
    Housebuilding experience preferred but not essential.
    Strong organisational and communication skills.
    A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
    Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
    Ability to build positive working relationships with subcontractors and colleagues.
    Full UK driving licence.
    Essential Qualifications
    SMSTS or SSSTS.
    CSCS Card.
    First Aid at Work (preferred).
    Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ, Degree, or equivalent) advantageous.What's on Offer?
