How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Summary
    We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Recruitment Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, building strong client and candidate relationships, and delivering high-quality hiring solutions across a range of trades. This role requires excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    Key Responsibilities
    Generate new business opportunities through networking, calls, referrals, and market mapping. ·
    Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand hiring needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions.
    · Source, screen, interview, and assess candidates using a variety of methods including job boards, databases, networking, and referrals.
    · Match suitable candidates to open vacancies based on skills, experience, and cultural fit.
    · Coordinate interviews, feedback, negotiations, and offer management between clients and candidates.
    · Maintain accurate candidate and client records within the CRM/database.
    · Meet agreed KPIs, sales targets, and revenue goals.
    Stay informed on market trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor activity.
    Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal recruitment processes.
    Skills & Experience Required
    · Previous experience in recruitment, sales, account management, or a customer-facing role preferred.
    · Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
    · Excellent verbal and written communication.
    · Confidence in business development and negotiating terms.
    · Highly organised with strong time-management skills.
    · Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.
    · Commercially minded with a target-driven approach.
    · Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    · Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/recruitment systems.
