How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Supporting school census returns and attendance compliance processes

Working with vulnerable students and implementing strategies to improve attendance

Liaising with external agencies including local authorities, social care and attendance services

Supporting safeguarding procedures where attendance becomes a welfare concern

Advising school leaders on attendance strategies, policies and interventions

Ensuring all attendance processes are compliant with statutory guidance and school policies

    Who we're looking for

We are seeking a committed, organised and resilient professional with experience supporting attendance and student welfare.

    You will have:

Experience working within a school, education or student support setting

An understanding of attendance and implementing attendance interventions

Strong data analysis, reporting and administrative skills

Experience working directly with students, parents and external professionals

    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities

The ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion

GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)

    A proactive and solution-focused approach

    Why this school?

Join a supportive and inclusive secondary school community

Make a direct impact on student attendance, wellbeing and achievement

Work closely with pastoral, safeguarding and senior leadership teams

Develop your expertise in attendance management and student support

Gain valuable experience in a rewarding and varied role

Full-time, term-time only position with excellent work-life balance
