How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Commercial Fencer/ Fence installer – Nationwide Projects
    Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum + Company Vehicle + Overtime
    Location: Nationwide UK Projects
    Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (PAYE)
    Our client is a well-established and growing commercial fencing contractor delivering projects across the UK within the infrastructure, education, renewable energy, industrial, and commercial sectors.
    Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit experienced Commercial Fencers to join their team on a permanent PAYE basis.
    The Role
    Working on projects throughout the UK, you will be responsible for the installation of a variety of commercial and security fencing systems, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
    The successful candidate must be willing to travel nationwide and stay away from home when required. A company vehicle will be provided for the right candidate.
    Duties Include
    * Installation of commercial fencing systems
    * Twin wire mesh fencing
    * Security and perimeter fencing
    * Palisade fencing
    * Gates and access systems
    * Reading site drawings and working to specifications
    * Using hand and power tools safely
    * Ensuring projects are completed within programme deadlines
    * Working as part of a team on nationwide sites
    Requirements
    * Proven experience installing commercial fencing
    * CSCS Card
    * Full UK Driving Licence
    * Ability to travel and work nationwide
    * Strong work ethic and reliability
    * Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Desirable (Not Essential)
    * SSSTS
    * CPCS or NPORS plant tickets
    * Groundworks or civils experience
    * Experience working on infrastructure, utility, rail, education, or renewable energy projects
