How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Manager – Engineering & Technology Projects

    Location: UK (Hybrid/Office/Site Based)
    Type: Full-Time

    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver engineering and technology projects across sectors including infrastructure, transportation, systems integration, digital transformation, and engineering services.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage projects through the full lifecycle from initiation to completion.

    * Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

    * Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

    * Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as required.

    * Manage project scope, risks, issues, and change control processes.

    * Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams.

    * Manage interfaces between clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

    * Support design reviews, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.

    * Manage project budgets, forecasting, and cost control.

    * Review supplier quotations, contracts, and variations.

    * Lead project meetings and provide progress reporting to senior management.

    * Build strong client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.

    * Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

    * Maintain project documentation, governance records, and lessons learned.

    Skills & Experience

    * Proven experience managing engineering, technology, infrastructure, or systems projects.

    * Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.

    * Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholders.

    * Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    Desirable

    * Experience within rail, transportation, utilities, construction, defence, facilities management, or technology sectors.

    * Knowledge of systems integration, digital transformation, software, or engineering delivery projects.

    * Experience working with NEC, JCT, or similar contract frameworks.

    * Familiarity with BIM, CAFM, CMMS, or enterprise technology platforms.

    Qualifications

    * Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Technology, Construction, Business, or Project Management.

    * PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP, or equivalent project management qualification.
