Management Accountant

CMA is delighted to be working with our client who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their growing finance team.

This is a pivotal and varied role, supporting the Financial Controller across all aspects of bookkeeping, management accounting, and financial analysis.

The position would suit a proactive, technically strong individual who enjoys a hands-on role and has excellent attention to detail, contributing to accurate reporting and effective business decision-making.

What will the Management Accountant role involve?

Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and cash flow forecasts
Transactional reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Preparing VAT returns and ensuring adherence to UK accounting and HMRC regulations
Producing financial analysis and insights to support leadership decisions and identify areas for improvement
Supporting year-end processes, audits, and compliance reporting, maintaining strong internal controls and records
Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy:

ACCA/CIMA part qualified with relevant practical experience
Experience in management accounting in a deadline driven environment
Strong understanding of UK accounting standards, VAT, PAYE, and financial reporting
Advanced Excel skills with experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
Proactive and solutions-focused with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
