How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    As Literacy Lead

    * Champion literacy across the school, ensuring it is embedded in daily practice

    * Support colleagues with planning, resources and targeted interventions

    * Lead on assessment, tracking and progress in reading, writing and communication

    * Model high‑quality literacy teaching and provide coaching where needed

    * Contribute to curriculum development and whole‑school improvement priorities

    About You

We would love to hear from you if you:

    * Hold QTS and have strong experience teaching pupils with SEND

    * Have a secure understanding of literacy development, including for pupils with complex needs

    * Use positive behaviour approaches and maintain high expectations

    * Enjoy leading others, sharing practice and supporting whole‑school improvement

    * Are reflective, resilient and passionate about inclusive education

    What the School Offers

    * A warm, supportive staff team

    * Small class sizes and excellent specialist facilities

    * Dedicated time for leadership responsibilities

    * Ongoing CPD and opportunities to develop your SEN and literacy expertise

    * A strong focus on wellbeing for staff and pupils

    * Easy access via the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines

    * Free parking and on‑site refreshments

    How to Apply

If you are committed to making a meaningful difference for young people with additional needs and have the drive to lead literacy across the school, we would be delighted to hear from you
