How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teacher of Drama - Long-Term Position

    Location: Doncaster
    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
    Contract: Long-Term Supply
    Start Date: September 2026

    Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a thriving academy in Doncaster to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Drama for a long-term position. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students through the performing arts and contribute to a supportive and ambitious school community.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering students' confidence, creativity, and performance skills. The role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of the academy's Performing Arts department and make a lasting impact on student achievement.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum.
    Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and creativity.
    Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing effective feedback to support development.
    Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.
    Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
    Support students in developing performance, communication, and collaborative skills.
    Contribute to school productions, performances, and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and wider school staff to support student success.
    Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all students.

    Requirements

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
    Specialism in Drama or a related Performing Arts subject.
    Experience teaching Drama at secondary school level.
    Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    A passion for Drama education and inspiring young people.
    An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
    The legal right to work in the UK.
