How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manager - Community Centre Development
    📍 Hemel Hempstead
    💷 £250-£280 per day
    📅 Up to 12-Month Contract

    We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of a new community centre development in Hemel Hempstead. This exciting project consists of two buildings, associated public open spaces (POS), car parking facilities, and play areas, delivering a valuable community asset from inception through to completion.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage the project from Groundworks stage through to Handover
    Coordinate and supervise all site activities, subcontractors, and suppliers
    Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
    Liaise with Local Authorities and LABC (Local Authority Building Control)
    Monitor programme progress and resolve site issues effectively
    Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures
    Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders

    Requirements

    Proven experience working as a Site Manager
    Strong background in commercial building projects
    Experience dealing with Local Authorities and LABC
    Demonstrable experience managing projects from groundworks through to handover
    Valid SMSTS certification
    Valid First Aid at Work certification
    Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
