Location: Hebburn, Tyne & Wear
Rate of pay: £15 - £21 per hr DOE
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5pm Friday 8.30am – 1.30pm
We are seeking skilled and motivated Panel Wirers to join a manufacturing team in Hebburn. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a world-class engineering environment, assembling and wiring electrical control panels and switchgear to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, wiring, and testing of electrical panels from engineering drawings and schematics, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and within agreed production timescales.
The Job
* Assemble and wire electrical control panels and switchgear systems.
* Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
* Carry out point-to-point wiring, cable routing, termination, and crimping.
* Install electrical components including relays, contactors, terminal blocks, switches, and circuit protection devices.
* Conduct continuity and basic electrical testing in accordance with quality procedures.
* Identify and report faults, discrepancies, and non-conformances.
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience in panel wiring in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematics.
* Experience with cable preparation, crimping, termination, and routing.
* Good understanding of electrical components and control systems. Electrical qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or Apprenticeship
