How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor

    Location: Chester, Cheshire

    Salary/Benefits: £27k - £37k + Training & Benefits

    A well-known name within the Compliance and Legionella industry is recruiting for a Legionella Risk Assessor in the North West of England. The ideal candidate will be confident in completing risk assessments on domestic hot and cold water systems across a variety of client sites. We are seeking someone who is a strong communicatior, who is comfortable providing technical advice directly to clients. Our client has a nationwide presence and is able to offer attractive salaries and benefits packages, in addition to comprehensive further development and training.

    Consideration will be given to candidates from the following locations: Chester, Ellesmere Port, Northwich, Knutsford, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, Buxton, Stockport, Glossop, Crewe, Winsford, Nantwich, Crewe, Congleton, Middleport, Leek, Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, Cheadle, Whitchurch, Wrexham, Runcorn, Warrington, St Helens, Leigh, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Prescot, Birkenhead, Manchester.

    Experience / Qualifications:

    * Proven experience working as a Legionella Risk Assesssor

    * Must be qualified with the City and Guild (WMSoc) in Legionella Risk Assessing

    * It would be advantageous to have plumbing experience / qualifications, but this is not essential

    * Good understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines

    * Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills

    * Good interpersonal skills

    The Role:

    * Conducting legionella risk assessments on domestic hot and cold water systems

    * Highlighting any found risks and non-conformities

    * Producing detailed technical reports

    * Creating site-specific schematic drawings

    * Meeting with clients to make appropriate recommendations for remedial works

    * Maintaining strong relationships with clients

    * Working to set company targets

    * Keeping up-to-date with any technical legislation changes

    * Travelling in line with company needs
