How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role Overview

This is a senior, site‑based leadership opportunity within a well‑established and forward‑thinking international food manufacturing business, recognised for its technical excellence, strong values and long‑term investment in people and sustainability. Built on a heritage of innovation and responsible manufacturing, the organisation places quality, compliance and environmental stewardship at the heart of its operations.

The Quality Manager will play a pivotal role in leading site quality assurance, laboratory operations, feed safety and environmental compliance. Acting as the technical authority on site, the role combines hands‑on scientific oversight with strategic leadership, driving a culture of proactive compliance, continuous improvement and environmental responsibility across manufacturing operations.

    Key Accountabilities

    * Lead all site quality assurance, laboratory and environmental compliance activities

    * Manage and develop QC laboratory operations, ensuring scientific integrity across microbiological, PCR and analytical testing

    * Maintain and continuously improve integrated management systems aligned to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, UFAS, FEMAS and FAMI‑QS

    * Own internal and external audit programmes, ensuring ongoing audit readiness and timely closure of non‑conformances

    * Act as the site expert for HACCP, VACCP and TACCP, maintaining robust feed safety, defence and vulnerability frameworks

    * Oversee non‑conforming product management, root cause investigations and CAPA implementation

    * Manage site‑wide document control systems in line with quality and compliance policies

    * Lead environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with permits, legislation and regulatory requirements

    * Monitor and report on environmental KPIs, including energy, waste, water and emissions

    * Drive environmental and sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction, efficiency and continuous improvement

    * Deliver technical training and capability development across quality, laboratory and environmental disciplines

    * Act as the primary technical interface with certification bodies, regulators, suppliers and third‑party partners

    * Work closely with manufacturing, R&D and site leadership to support operational and strategic objectives

    People Profile

    * Degree qualified in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. food science, microbiology, chemistry or similar)

    * Proven experience in a quality leadership role within food, feed or FMCG manufacturing environments

    * Strong laboratory background with hands‑on experience in microbiology, PCR methods and aseptic techniques

    * Demonstrable experience managing ISO‑based management systems and regulatory audits

    * Working knowledge of environmental management systems, ideally ISO14001

    * Confident and credible leader with the ability to influence, coach and develop cross‑functional teams

    * Highly organised, detail‑focused and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, regulated environment

    * A proactive problem solver with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and sustainability
