How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Production Leader
    Salary: Circa £40,000pa
    Location: Northfleet
    Contract type: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
    Annual leave: 25 days holiday excluding bank holidays
    Bonus: Performance based annual bonus up to 15%
    Pension: 5%
     
    Role Overview:
     
    We are seeking a Production Leader to lead and develop production teams, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement across our clients site.
     
    The ideal candidate will come from a fast-paced FMCG, Food or Textile background production environment, with experience in high-volume processing operations and a strong understanding of quality and operational standards.
     
    This company offers a clear pathway for progression into a more senior position within 1-2 years, as the company is strongly committed to retaining talent and developing people internally wherever possible.
     
    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and develop production leaders and team leaders, managing performance, absence and health & safety compliance.
    Oversee and optimise high-volume production line operations to ensure maximum efficiency and output.
    Lead continuous improvement initiatives and resolve production issues.
    Monitor and report on KPIs, recommending actions to improve efficiency and quality.
    Plan and coordinate production resources to meet targets and deadlines.
    Develop and manage budgets, controlling costs and productivity.  
    Skills & Experience

    FMCG, Food Production, Food Retail or Linen/Textile Sector
    Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills.
    Excellent analytical and organisational abilities.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    Customer-focused, proactive, and results-driven.
