The firm have told me that they are open to the level of experience and salary, therefore, their salary band is flexible and determined by your experience and the firm’s judgement of that at interview. It is likely that a role like this can pay up to and around the mid-thirties.
You will be working in a team, so have colleagues around the same level and reporting into a Manager. They are seeking a capable Senior Payroll professional, but may consider people at more of a Manager grade too.
Most people spend the majority of the first 6 months probationary period working in the office, but after that, you can work 2 days per week from home if preferred. The firm may allow some home working before the end of 6 months’ probation in certain circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of weekly and monthly client payrolls using various softwares
Administration of payrolls and maintaining good client relationships
HMRC communications
Year-end payroll communications
Responsible for ensuring that client statutory returns are submitted by the appropriate deadlines
Responsible for clients’ CIS Tax deducted returns
Responsible for upload of Bacs payroll payments
Assisting the Payroll Manager as necessary and acting as cover for other Payroll Technicians
Skills and Qualities required:
Practical experience of payroll processing, preferably in a payroll bureau environment or within practice
Experience of IRIS Payroll Professional (IPP), Earnie, Xero Payroll, Sage Payroll would be an advantage
