How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    2 Days Per Week | Flexible Working Days | Teacher Pay Scale | September 2026 Start

    Pertemps Education are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Watford, who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Class Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from September 2026.
    This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking for a flexible role, with the school offering two days per week and flexibility on which days are worked. The successful candidate will join a nurturing environment where high-quality teaching and positive relationships are at the heart of everything they do.
    The Role
    Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that promote excellent progress and outcomes.
    Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
    Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with the National Curriculum.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best possible educational experience for pupils.
    Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.The Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for someone who:

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
    Has experience teaching within a primary school setting.
    Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
