How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Hoist Operators

    Norwich
    £21 - £22 per hour (depending on experience)
    Monday to Friday | 7:00am - 5:00pm
    35-Week Contract

    My client is recruiting experienced Hoist Operators to join a major construction project in Norwich. With up to 35 weeks of work available, this is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position on a busy site where your skills will be valued from day one.

    What's on Offer?

    £21 - £22 per hour, depending on experience

    Up to 35 weeks of continuous work

    Monday to Friday schedule – no weekend requirement

    10-hour shifts providing excellent weekly earnings

    The Role

    As a Hoist Operator, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of personnel and materials across site, helping to keep operations running smoothly and ensuring work progresses safely and on schedule.

    Key Duties

    Operating the site hoist safely and efficiently

    Transporting personnel, equipment, and materials throughout the site

    Carrying out daily pre-use checks and reporting any defects

    Monitoring the safe operation of the hoist throughout the working day

    Communicating effectively with site management and operatives

    Adhering to all site health and safety procedures

    Reporting faults, incidents, or potential hazards promptly

    Essential Requirements

    Valid CPCS Hoist Operator card (essential)

    Previous experience operating hoists on busy construction sites

    Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements

    Reliable and professional approach to work

    Good communication skills

    Ability to work effectively as part of a site team
