How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

I'm working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Bradford that is looking to appoint a Group Reporting Accountant to join its finance team. This is a key role within the organisation, focused on delivering accurate and timely group financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insight to support strategic decision-making across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their technical accounting and reporting expertise within a growing manufacturing environment, offering exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

    Key responsibilities will include:

Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines
Managing the group consolidation process, including the review and elimination of intercompany transactions and balances
Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Producing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities
Working closely with operational and finance teams across the group to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information
Supporting external audit processes and acting as a key point of contact for auditors throughout the year
Providing financial analysis and insight into group performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Assisting with the development and enhancement of reporting processes, controls, and systems to improve efficiency and reporting quality
Supporting finance transformation and continuous improvement projects across the wider finance function
Ensuring compliance with internal controls, group policies, and governance requirements

    The client is looking for:

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant, or a finalist nearing qualification
Previous experience within Group Reporting, Financial Reporting, Technical Accounting, Audit, or a Financial Accounting role
If you're a technically strong finance professional looking to take the next step in your career within a successful manufacturing organisation, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
