How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Transmission Performance Manager
    Drive performance. Protect service. Enable resilient network delivery.

    The Transmission Performance Manager plays a critical role within MBNL's Operational Services environment, leading the performance, resilience, and continuous improvement of the Transmission domain while contributing to wider network outcomes. Working across MBNL, shareholders, and suppliers, the role ensures services are delivered against agreed KPIs and expectations. Acting as a key interface, it combines performance insight, supplier management, and technical expertise to protect service availability and drive improvement.

    Why this role matters;
    Transmission performance is fundamental to network reliability and customer experience. This role ensures strong control, visibility, and accountability, proactively identifying risks and driving recovery before customer impact occurs. By embedding governance and continuous improvement, the role supports consistent, high‑quality service delivery. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in our Central Reading office.

    What you'll be here to do;
    * Lead Transmission performance, ensuring delivery against KPIs and service levels
    * Develop reporting, governance, and performance insight frameworks
    * Identify risks and trends, driving proactive recovery and prevention
    * Assure supplier performance and drive accountability across the ecosystem
    * Deliver continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and outcomes
    * Support operational readiness for new infrastructure and change activity
    * Ensure appropriate governance, controls, and assurance are in place
    * Act as the key interface for Transmission performance across stakeholders
    * Provide clear performance visibility to EE/BT and Three
    * Act as the Transmission subject matter expert across the domain

    Who we're looking for;
    * Experience in operational performance environments (availability, incident, or change)
    * Proven ability managing performance across multiple suppliers
    * Strong technical knowledge of Transmission technologies (access, backhaul, IP/core)
    * Understanding of KPI/SLA frameworks and service performance measurement
    * Experience in incident, problem, or continuous service improvement
    * Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability
    * Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
    * ITIL qualification or equivalent experience

    If you also have the following, we'd especially like to hear from you;
    * Experience in telecoms network operations or infrastructure environments
    * Exposure to cross‑domain performance and service integration
    * Experience working in a joint venture or multi‑stakeholder environment
