This is an excellent opportunity for someone with import/export and logistics experience to take ownership of international and domestic shipments, ensuring goods move efficiently through global supply chains while maintaining compliance with customs and export regulations.
The Role
Reporting to the Supply Chain Supervisor, you will coordinate all import and export activities across air, sea, and road freight. You will be responsible for shipment planning, customs documentation, freight bookings, transport cost management, and liaising with freight forwarders, customs agents, and third-party logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery and regulatory compliance.
Please note this role is full-time and office-based, five days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate import and export shipments across air, sea, and road freight routes
Review customer orders and arrange shipment bookings in line with delivery requirements
Prepare and manage export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping documents
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, Incoterms, and international trade requirements
Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers
Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery, customs clearance, or transportation issues
Maintain transport cost records and support freight cost analysis
Create loading plans and coordinate warehouse dispatch activities
Obtain freight quotations and provide cost information to commercial and supply chain teams
Support customers with import/export queries and shipping documentation requirements
Monitor logistics KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvement
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to improve service performanceWhat We're Looking For
Previous experience in an Import/Export Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Shipping Coordinator, or similar role
Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, customs regulations, and international shipping documentation
Experience managing air, sea, and road freight operations
Good understanding of Incoterms and international trade compliance
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics management systems
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)Desirable
Certificate in Export Documentation
IoSCM, CIPS, or other recognised supply chain/logistics qualification
