How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Registered Manager – Residential Care Home

    Location: Little Hallingbury, Hertfordshire (CM22 7PP)

    Contract Type: Permanent

    Salary: £45,000 - £46,000 per annum

    Hours: Full-Time | 5 Days per Week

    Role Overview

    We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead a well-established residential care home in Little Hallingbury, Hertfordshire.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate care professional to take responsibility for the overall leadership and management of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care, governance, staff performance, and regulatory compliance are consistently achieved.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving service quality while fostering a positive and supportive culture for residents, families, and staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential care home
    • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and quality standards
    • Lead, motivate, and support the staff team to deliver outstanding care
    • Promote and maintain high standards of person-centred care
    • Manage staff recruitment, supervision, training, and performance
    • Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
    • Monitor audits, risk assessments, care plans, and quality assurance processes
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and service development
    • Ensure services remain safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led

    Key Requirements

    • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager within a residential care home setting
    • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements
    • NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
    • Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
    • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
    • Local to Hertfordshire or within a reasonable commuting distance (preferred)
    • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel when required
    • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
