We’re looking for a skilled, proactive Maintenance Fitter to keep critical quarry and asphalt operations running at peak performance.

What you’ll be doing

Rapidly respond to plant breakdowns, restoring production quickly and safely
Deliver permanent engineering solutions, not just quick fixes
Carry out planned maintenance and shutdown activities
Diagnose faults across conveyors, crushers, pumps, gearboxes & vibratory screens
Take ownership of small improvement projects
Support continuous improvement and eliminate repeat failures
Work closely with contractors and suppliers onsite
Perform high-quality welding and fabrication
Use CMMS systems to log maintenance activity and track performance
Uphold and champion Health, Safety & Environmental standards

What we’re looking for

A mechanical apprenticeship (higher level preferred)
Experience in heavy industry, quarrying, manufacturing or similar environments
Strong skills in mechanical fault finding and diagnostics
Confidence working with bearings, drives, motors and plant equipment
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a 24/7 operation
A proactive mindset with a focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement
