The Role
As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in the technical development and delivery of projects across a variety of sectors, with a strong focus on residential and placemaking schemes.
Working closely with Architects, Urban Designers and Consultants, you will contribute to projects across all RIBA stages, producing coordinated technical information and helping to ensure design intent is successfully translated into buildable, high-quality outcomes.
This position would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, has a strong technical grounding, and is keen to broaden their experience across homes, neighbourhoods and wider community-focused developments.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the technical delivery of projects across all RIBA work stages.
Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction information.
Develop and coordinate design solutions with internal teams and external consultants.
Support project delivery from planning through to construction.
Ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, legislation and industry standards.
Attend project and site meetings, assisting with contract administration and site coordination where required.
Contribute to the successful delivery of residential, mixed-use and regeneration projects.
Support the practice's commitment to sustainability and low-carbon design principles.
Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary project teams.
Skills & Experience Required
Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology.
Approximately 5 years' post-qualification experience within an architectural practice.
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of UK construction methods, detailing and Building Regulations.
Experience working on residential, housing, mixed-use or placemaking projects would be advantageous.
Proficiency in REVIT is essential.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other industry-standard software.
Experience producing coordinated technical packages and construction information.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Organised, proactive and able to manage workload across multiple projects.
A genuine interest in sustainable design and creating places that have a positive long-term impact.
