How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A leading fire protection company is looking to recruit 4 experienced Fire Door Installation Engineers to help with a prestigious 3-4 month contract.

    This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals with experience in fire door installations and remedial works to join a well-established business with a strong reputation in the fire safety sector.

    Could most probably lead to other work as other contracts starting very soon

    The Role:

    As a Fire Door Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out fire door installations work across a large commercial site in Leeds.

    You will ensure all work is completed to the highest standards while maintaining full compliance with current fire safety regulations and industry best practices.

    Fire Door Engineer Key Responsibilities:

    * Complete fire door installation work

    * Install fire door hardware, including hinges, locks, closers, seals, and ironmongery

    * Ensure all fire door works comply with current fire safety regulations and manufacturer specifications

    * Accurately record completed actions

    * Work independently and as part of a wider team

    * Liaise with management and clients to provide updates on project progress

    * Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service

    * Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies

    Fire Door Engineer Skills and Experience:

    * To be considered for this role, you will have:

    * Proven experience in fire door installation and remedial work

    * Strong knowledge of fire door regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards

    * Excellent carpentry skills and attention to detail

    * NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or equivalent qualification

    * Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices

    * Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively

    * Strong communication and problem-solving skills

    * Must have own tools

    * CSCS Card required
