Location: Swindon (5 Days Site Based)
Rate: £350 per day - Paid CIS via Umbrella Provider

Looking for a long-term contract where you can take ownership of a major refurbishment project from pre-construction through to completion?
This is an opportunity for an experienced HVAC Site Manager to lead the mechanical delivery of a £2m+ refurbishment project at a critical rail operational facility in Swindon. The project includes the replacement of life-expired HVAC plant, roof refurbishment works, and internal modifications, all while maintaining services to a live 24/7 operational building.
You'll act as the lead mechanical representative on site, managing specialist subcontractors, overseeing quality, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of complex HVAC installations.
Where you will add value:
- Managing the installation and replacement of chillers, AHUs, and VRF systems
- Coordinating mechanical subcontractors and specialist suppliers
- Overseeing quality inspections, commissioning, and installation standards
- Supporting programme management and ensuring works are delivered to schedule
- Maintaining detailed site records and quality documentation
- Working closely with project management and operational teams
- Supporting weekend crane operations for plant removal and installation
- Ensuring safe delivery within a live operational environment
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience operating as a HVAC Site Manager, HVAC Supervisor, or Mechanical Site Manager
- Strong background in HVAC installations including chillers, AHUs, and VRF systems
- Experience managing mechanical subcontractors on infrastructure or commercial refurbishment projects
