How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About AGA Rangemaster
At AGA Rangemaster, we take great pride in our heritage as well as our future. Every iconic AGA cooker is built right here in Telford, Shropshire—the birthplace of the industrial revolution—to exacting standards of British engineering excellence.
We are seeking a skilled Power Press Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing department and help shape the components that build our world-famous products.

    The Role
Working within our fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will play a central role in setting and operating a variety of mechanical and hydraulic presses. This position involves mass-production blanking of steel and alloy components, processing them into final parts using draw, form, and blank pressing techniques.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Set and Operate: Safely configure, adjust, and operate mechanical and hydraulic power presses.

    * Quality Assurance: Audit and pass off your own work against approved physical samples to ensure our rigorous engineering standards are met.

    * Troubleshoot: Quickly identify, diagnose, and resolve tooling and press issues on the production line.

    * Tool Development: Collaborate with our engineering team to test and develop brand-new tools.

    * Responsible Workplace: Maintain strict health and safety standards, safe working practices, and excellent press shop housekeeping.

    What We Are Looking For

    * Certification: A valid Power Press Certificate is essential (in line with PUWER regulations).

    * Experience: Proven experience operating and setting presses within an industrial manufacturing or engineering environment.

    * Qualities: A flexible working attitude with the ability to work on your own initiative, multi-task, and prioritise tasks effectively.

    * Precision: High attention to detail to successfully self-audit production outputs.

    * Communication: Ability to pass clear, effective information to your shift team and supervisors
