About the Role
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of welcoming and supportive nurseries, preschools, and early years settings across Pembrokeshire. These settings are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can grow in confidence, develop key skills, and enjoy positive early learning experiences.
We are currently recruiting Nursery Assistants and Early Years Practitioners for flexible day-to-day assignments, with opportunities for longer-term and permanent placements for the right candidates.
As part of a dedicated childcare team, you will:
Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing
Help create engaging and age-appropriate activities
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Encourage children's social, emotional, and educational development
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Support children as they explore, play, and reach developmental milestones
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
✅ A Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or equivalent)
✅ Experience working within a nursery, preschool, childcare, or early years setting
✅ Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Phase (EYFP) and child development
✅ A positive, caring, and patient approach
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
✅ A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development
