How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Position: Supply Teacher - Catholic Primary Schools
    Location: Kent
    Type: Full-time/Part-time/Temporary
    Salary: £160 to £240 per day via PAYE
    Start Date: September 2026

    Job Description:

    We are currently seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teachers to join our team to work across either Primary or Secondary Catholic Schools.

    As a Supply Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for students by delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring a positive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers who enjoy flexibility and variety in their work.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Delivering engaging and effective lessons across various subjects and year groups
    Managing classroom behavior and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment
    Adhering to school policies and procedures
    Providing feedback on students' progress to the regular classroom teacher
    Adapting to different school environments and requirements
    Requirements:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
    Proven experience in teaching, preferably within the UK
    Previous experience working in a Catholic School would be advantageous
    Strong classroom management skills
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    Ability to adapt to new situations and work effectively in different school settings
    A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
