How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Manufacturing Engineer – Injection Moulding

    Location/Commute from: Worcester, Redditch, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Dudley, Stourbridge, Evesham, Kidderminster, South Birmingham

    The role of Manufacturing Engineer will require a determined and dynamic hands-on approach, supporting the successful introduction of new products from concept through to full production.

    As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be able to demonstrate extensive experience of injection moulding, tooling and process optimisation together with proven experience within a NPI arena.

    The successful candidate will be a well-rounded engineer possessing broad experience across the NPI to include; process engineering and assembly, with the ability to apply automotive quality tools such as APQP and PFMEA.

    Key Skills required:

    * Manufacturing & Process Engineering – being able to lead the development and validation of manufacturing and assembly processes for new products, supporting key stake holders across the project.

    * Manage and coordinate tooling supply process, working closely with internal tooling specialist along with any outsourced tooling suppliers.

    * Provide detailed project plan covering all aspects on new project launch, moulding, tooling, assembly (jigs & fixtures) as well as fully utilising project management tools including PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plans

    The ideal candidate will:

    * Hold HND/HNC or degree-level qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Plastics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

    * Have a minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role with direct involvement in injection moulding tooling programmes.

    * Possess proven experience working within an NPI/Launch environment

    PLEASE NOTE: Injection Moulding is an essential requirement for this role.
