How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Role

You will be supporting children and young people with a range of emotional, behavioural and additional needs within residential care settings. * Promote emotional wellbeing through positive engagement and therapeutic support.

    * Plan and participate in activities that encourage learning, confidence and social development.

    * A full UK driving licence is essential.

    * Minimum 6 months' experience working with children or young people in residential care, supported accommodation, education, youth work or a similar setting.

    * Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

    * Calm, patient and resilient approach.

    * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    * Flexible and reliable with a commitment to delivering outstanding care.

    What We Offer

    * Flexible shifts to fit around your availability.

    * Weekly pay.

    * Opportunities to work across a variety of children's residential homes.

    * Ongoing support from a dedicated recruitment team.

    * Free mandatory training and opportunities for further professional development.

    * The chance to gain experience across a range of specialist services.

If you're an experienced Residential Support Worker looking for flexible work and the opportunity to positively impact the lives of children and young people, we'd love to hear from you
