Job Title: Production Operative
Location: Outskirts of Ipswich, Suffolk
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (approx. 6 weeks)
Pay Rate: £18.48 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, day shifts
Interview Date: As soon as possible
We’re currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our client on the outskirts of Ipswich, Suffolk. This is a hands-on role focused on supporting day-to-day production activities, material handling and keeping the fast-paced production area running smoothly and safely.

About the Role:
You will support the daily operations and ensure physical handling tasks such as raw material bags, packaging, area upkeep — are carried out safely, on time, and to the right quality standard, so the team can hit its daily production targets.
Key duties:
* Handle and move raw materials and packaging materials as required
* Support batch preparation and general production tasks
* Help the team meet daily production targets by keeping pace with the production schedule
* Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area
* Record basic operational data such as time logs and material counts when required
* Follow all health & safety procedures and PPE requirements
* Communicate any issues, delays or concerns to the Operations Lead
* Provide support across different tasks as workload demands
Requirements:
* No specific technical background required
* Reliable, motivated and willing to work in a hands-on production role
* Physically fit and comfortable carrying out repetitive manual handling tasks
* Able to follow instructions and work to a structured schedule
* Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Basic written English for simple data recording
* Previous manufacturing, warehouse or logistics experience would be beneficial but is not essential
* Must hold a full driving licence and have access to own vehicle – this is essential
