How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Streetworks Coordinator Opportunity!

We are working with a successful construction and infrastructure business that is continuing to grow across a range of projects throughout the UK.

As a result of ongoing project wins and an increasing workload, our client is seeking an experienced Streetworks Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established organisation that values its people, offers long-term career prospects, and operates on a variety of interesting projects.

    The Opportunity

As a Streetworks Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting operational teams with the planning, coordination, and management of streetworks activities. Working closely with project teams, local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders, you will ensure works are delivered in line with legislative requirements and permit conditions.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage the submission, administration, and close-out of streetworks permits through relevant permit management systems.

    * Monitor permit conditions and ensure compliance with all statutory obligations.

    * Maintain accurate schedules and records relating to planned and ongoing works.

    * Coordinate third-party requirements including road closures, parking suspensions, traffic management arrangements, and public transport diversions.

    * Support the administration of Section 50 licences and related applications.

    * Review and respond to Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and Section 74 charges.

    * Produce reports and documentation relating to upcoming and live works programmes.

    * Liaise with Highway Authorities regarding comments, modifications, and permit conditions.

    * Support project teams during planning and progress meetings.

    * Identify programme interfaces and potential compliance risks associated with streetworks activities.

    * Contribute to KPI reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

    * Assist with audits, governance requirements, and compliance reviews.

    About You

    Essential

    * Previous experience in a Streetworks Coordinator or similar role.

    * Good working knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA).

    * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.

    * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

    * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

    * Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines.

    * A collaborative approach with the ability to work independently when required.

    Desirable

    * Experience using Street Manager or similar permit systems.

    * Knowledge of Section 50 licence processes.

    * Experience liaising with local authorities and highway agencies.

    * Background within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, or utilities environments
