How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – Baby Room
    Full-Time | Permanent Position
    Galleywood, Essex

    TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded nursery in the Galleywood area. The nursery is seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join their Baby Room team on a full-time, permanent basis.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic early years professional who is committed to providing outstanding care and education for children aged 0–2 years in a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment.

    The Role:

    • Working as a key person within the Baby Room, supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0–2 years
    • Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
    • Building strong and positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
    • Observing, assessing, and recording children's development and progress
    • Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times
    • Supporting children's personal, social, emotional, and physical development
    • Creating a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children can thrive

    The Successful Candidate Will Have:

    • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
    • Previous experience working within a nursery setting, ideally within a Baby Room
    • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to childcare
    • Sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
    • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required

    Essential Requirements:

    • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare or equivalent
    • Eligibility to work in the UK
    • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
    • Satisfactory references covering the last two years
    • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
