How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The role of Fleet Manager involves overseeing the maintenance and management of a large HGV fleet within the industrial/manufacturing sector. This permanent position is based in Nottinghamshire and requires a proactive individual with expertise in the management and maintenance of HGV fleets.

    Description

    Manage and oversee the maintenance schedule for the entire HGV fleet to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
    Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for fleet management and repairs.
    Monitor vehicle performance and maintenance records to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards within the logistics department.
    Coordinate with external service providers for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
    Lead and support a team of maintenance staff to achieve operational targets.
    Manage budgets and report on fleet costs and performance to senior management.
    Implement and maintain effective systems for tracking fleet utilisation and availability.Profile

    A successful Fleet & Maintenance Manager should have:

    Proven expertise in HGV fleet management and maintenance within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
    Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards for logistics operations.
    CPC (required) and O Licence responsibility
    Experience in managing budgets and analysing fleet performance data.
    Experience in managing both inhouse and outsourced HGV maintenance (MIRTE preferenece)
    Effective leadership skills to manage and motivate a team.
    Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
    Proficiency in using fleet management systems and tools.Job Offer
