How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Chichester College Group has an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in STEM based in Chichester?????. You will join us on a full-time basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £27,785 - £43,325 per annum.

    Are you an automotive or engineering professional looking to share your skills and knowledge with the next generation? Chichester College are looking for a Lecturer in STEM for a September start.

    The Lecturer in STEM :

    As our Lecturer in STEM, you will undertake teaching activities in the curriculum area, ensuring a high quality of provision, in response to learners’ needs. You will work collaboratively and innovatively with managers and colleagues to design, develop, manage and review programmes in the curriculum area and ensure that student needs are met in a responsive way, in line with the concept of inclusive learning.

    Key Responsibilities of our Lecturer in STEM:

    To undertake teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.

    To ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.

    To undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.

    To take an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.

    To develop curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.

    To understand personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.

    Keep up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.

    To participate in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.

    To undertake the delivery of literacy and numeracy.

    Our ideal Lecturer in STEM should have the following skills and experience:

    Relevant industrial/commercial experience

    Working knowledge of Automotive and Engineering

    Microsoft Office applications

    An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups

    Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject

    Level 2 literacy and numeracy

    Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
