How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Experienced Electricians Required – Social Housing Contract (12 Weeks)

    Our client is currently seeking highly skilled and professional Electricians to join their team on a 12-week contract delivering reactive and planned electrical works across a social housing portfolio in the Basingstoke, Farnham, Farnborough, Aldershot and surrounding areas.  This role will involve working within tenanted and void properties, carrying out a wide range of electrical tasks while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer care, including test and inspect.

    As you will be working within occupied properties, you must be confident liaising directly with tenants and representatives, maintaining a polite, professional, and respectful approach at all times. You should take pride in your work, be proactive in problem solving, and understand the importance of delivering safe, compliant installations within people’s homes.

    The Role:

    You will be responsible for completing both day-to-day reactive maintenance and scheduled planned works. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

    Electrical fault finding and repairs
    Test and inspection works (EICRs)
    Upgrading and replacing consumer units
    General electrical installations and maintenance
    Ensuring compliance with current wiring regulations
    Completing all relevant certification and paperwork accurately
    All aspects of Electrics 1st / 2nd fix
    Working within the Basingstoke and surrounding Areas

    We are looking for someone who is:

    Experienced in domestic and/or social housing environments
    Fully qualified with 18th Edition (essential)
    Qualified in 2391 Test & Inspection (essential)
    Self-sufficient with own van, tools, and test equipment
    Covered by (or willing to obtain) business vehicle insurance
    Well presented and customer focused
    Lives in good travel distance of Basingstoke or surround area
    Reliable, organised, and able to manage their own workload
    Able to provide two recent references
    Experienced within all aspects of Electrics

    Qualifications Required:

    18th Edition
    2391
    AM2
    NVQ Level 3

    Must Have:

    Own van and tools
