How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking a skilled Aluminium TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for precision welding of aluminium components, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role requires a strong understanding of TIG welding techniques, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work accurately within fabrication processes. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in aluminium welding and fabrication to contribute to a dynamic production environment.

    Duties

    * Perform TIG welding on aluminium parts and assemblies according to technical specifications and drawings

    * Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively

    * Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components with precision and attention to detail

    * Operate various fabrication machinery and tools to assist in assembly processes

    * Conduct quality checks on welds and finished products to ensure compliance with standards

    * Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations

    * Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow

    Requirements

    * Proven experience in TIG welding, specifically aluminium welding

    * Familiarity with welding standards and techniques

    * Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment

    * Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

    * Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes

    * Experience in working with sheet metal and assembly tasks is desirable

    * Strong attention to detail, organisation skills, and commitment to quality workmanship

    * Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment following health and safety protocols
