Our client is a well-established and friendly accountancy practice based in Kingswinford, providing a range of accounting, taxation, and business advisory services to a diverse client base. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant to join a supportive and professional team environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and providing a range of accounting and taxation services.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
* Assisting clients with accounting and bookkeeping queries.
* Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
* Processing payroll and CIS returns.
* Supporting the preparation of personal and corporation tax returns.
* Liaising directly with clients and building strong professional relationships.
* Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
* Working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.
Candidate Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
* Proven ability to prepare accounts for sole traders and limited companies.
* Good understanding of VAT returns, payroll, and CIS.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively to a team environment.
* Knowledge of personal tax and corporation tax would be advantageous.
* Experience using Xero software would be advantageous.
Qualifications
* AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience candidates will be considered.
* Study support may be available for part-qualified candidates looking to continue their professional qualifications.
