How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in working with sheet metal. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling components to meet precise specifications while ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.

    Responsibilities

    * Operate and set up press brake machinery to bend and form sheet metal according to engineering drawings.

    * Assemble components as per specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality in the fabrication process.

    * Grind and finish parts as necessary to achieve desired surface quality.

    * Utilise hand tools effectively for various tasks, including assembly and adjustment of components.

    * Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

    * Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.

    * Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.

    Experience

    * Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.

    * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

    * Familiarity with tooling and fabrication processes related to sheet metal work.

    * Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.

    * Experience in welding is an advantage but not essential.

    * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
