How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking a skilled and reliable FLT /Overhead Crane Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing the loading and unloading of goods, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and the ability to handle materials safely and effectively.

    Responsibilities

    * Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods safely.

    * Manage the movement of products within the warehouse, ensuring accurate placement and retrieval.

    * Maintain an organised warehouse environment, including proper storage of materials.

    * Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any repair needs.

    * Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.

    * Perform basic maths calculations for inventory management and stock control.

    * Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency.

    * Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, promoting a safe working environment.

    Requirements

    * Proven experience as an FLT / Overhead Crane Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting.

    * Valid forklift licence is essential; additional certifications are advantageous.

    * Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory is preferred.

    * Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and maintenance tasks.

    * Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle materials safely.

    * Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.

    * Basic maths skills for inventory management tasks.

    * Previous experience in shipping and receiving operations is desirable.
