How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation within the renewable energy sector for a Head of Asset Performance.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced asset performance, operations, or engineering professional to take ownership of a portfolio of renewable energy assets, driving performance optimisation, contractual compliance, and operational excellence.

    The Role

    As Head of Asset Performance, you will lead the performance management of operational renewable energy assets, ensuring they achieve optimum availability, performance, and energy yield targets.

    You will work closely with operational teams, technical specialists, and external stakeholders to identify performance issues, implement corrective actions, manage contractual obligations, and maximise asset value.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Leading portfolio-wide asset performance across availability, performance ratio (PR), and energy yield metrics.

    * Managing performance risk, including contractual obligations and liquidated damages (LD) exposure.

    * Conducting detailed performance reviews and driving performance improvement initiatives.

    * Leading root cause analysis of technical and operational performance issues.

    * Working closely with field operations teams and subcontractors to ensure effective implementation of corrective actions.

    * Overseeing asset performance reporting, KPI tracking, dashboards, and performance analytics.

    * Supporting contractual performance requirements, including availability guarantees and acceptance testing processes.

    * Quantifying and communicating financial risks associated with asset underperformance.

    * Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of asset performance analysts.

    * Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through clear and proactive communication.

    About You

    We are keen to speak with candidates who possess:

    * Proven experience within renewable energy, asset performance, operations, engineering, or a similar asset-intensive environment.

    * Strong understanding of Solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

    * Experience managing performance against contractual KPIs, guarantees, or service agreements.

    * Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

    * Experience using performance monitoring and reporting tools such as SCADA systems, Power BI, and Excel.

    * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

    * Commercial awareness and an understanding of performance-related financial risks.

    * Previous leadership, mentoring, or team management experience would be advantageous.

    What's on Offer?

    * Competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000

    * 10% Annual Bonus

    * Private Healthcare

    * 25 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays

    * Pension Scheme

    * Ongoing professional development opportunities

    * Opportunity to play a key role within a growing renewable energy business

    * Collaborative and forward-thinking working environment

    If you are looking to take the next step in your renewable energy career and want to make a tangible impact on asset performance and operational success, we'd love to hear from you
