Full-Time | September Start | 1-Year Contract
We are recruiting for a dedicated and resilient 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a male pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a primary school in Stechford.
This is a full-time role starting in September and will involve providing consistent 1:1 support to a pupil who requires assistance with both learning and behaviour throughout the school day.
The pupil:
Diagnosed with ASD
Can be boisterous and energetic
May run or charge around the classroom
Can climb on furniture and requires close supervision
Requires support with toileting

The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASD
Be confident managing challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner
Be physically active and able to respond to the pupil's needs throughout the day
Have experience supporting personal care and toileting needs
Be patient, nurturing, and resilient
Be able to establish firm boundaries while building positive relationships
